Rutherford Natural Stand Tree Work

As part of the City of Edmonton’s Natural Areas operations plan, some tree work in the Rutherford neighborhood tree stand will be occurring.

The stand was assessed for tree risk management. The assessment area included the improved trails, roadway, and property lines. As a result of the assessment, approximately 50 trees will be habitated and/or removed based on the level of risk present to the public or property. This work will be starting in January and will be completed by February 2019, weather dependent.

Citizens with any questions or concerns can call 311 and refer to ‘tree risk management in the Rutherford natural areas’ and inquiries will be directed to Natural Areas operations to communicate with the citizen(s) directly.
