Close off your spring cleaning by bringing your trash, reusable and recyclable items to HPCL's second annual Big Bin
Close off your spring cleaning by bringing your trash, reusable and recyclable items to HPCL’s second annual Big Bin Clean and Clear event!
This year we are building on Big Bin trash collection by including options for diverting your gently used items to organizations in our city that can pass these items on to those in need. The Edmonton Food Bank will also be on location so please bring non-perishable food donations to support our neighbours who struggle to put food on the table.
Once again we are partnering with Johnny Bright School grade 5 students, collecting recyclable cans and bottles to support Edmonton’s Youth Empowerment Support Services (YESS). Johnny Bright students use the proceeds of beverage container refunds to purchase supplies and cook soup, which is then provided to YESS. The soup from this “Soup Siblings” program feeds youth at the YESS emergency shelter.
For more information on the organizations that will be on site, what they are accepting, and their most needed items, visit the links below. HPCL looks forward to seeing you on June 8th!
