Heat Island Survey By Students From The University Of Alberta
Hello everyone. Today we have something a bit different for you all.
Some students from the University of Alberta are conducting a survey, and when they inquired with us to see if we could help, we said yes!
This survey meets the required ethical and privacy concerns we fully know are important to you.
The following is a message from the lead researcher on this survey, Ghazal Lofti:
“We, the Urban Environment Observatoryresearch team at the University of Alberta, are looking at how the urban heat island (UHI) effect has changed in Edmonton’s neighbourhoods over the last few years. This research is funded by the Alberta Ecotrust Foundation partnering with the City of Edmonton. Through this research, we are trying to understand resident’s perception and experience of the UHI effect and their mitigation and adaptation behaviours. So your input is invaluable in achieving the success of the study.”
If you are interested in collaborating with the UofA, you can participate through the survey linked here: Heat Island Survey
The UofA thanks the community of Rutherford and MacEwan greatly for our collaboration with important scientific research.
