Outdoor Soccer registration – on-time registration ends on the last day of February
The purchase of a current 2019-20 Heritage Point Community League membership is required in order to register in this program.* You can purchase a League Membership on-line at www.efcl.org (service charges apply). On-line purchase allows you to print your card immediately after purchase.
You are required to bring proof of residency in our community which includes but is not limited to a driver’s license, utility bill or property tax assessment document showing your name and address. Proof of child’s age (Alberta health care card, birth certificate or passport).
As part of your a completed registration, we require a volunteer deposit cheque to be submitted (one per family) with your registration form. Upon completion of an approved volunteer duty, your cheque will be destroyed.
We DO NOT accept cash or bank drafts.
*NOTE: if you already have a Chappelle Community League membership you can register with that membership on-line and you will be asked to pay a $ 20 administration fee (per family) when the player’s registration is dropped off at a registration session.

2020 Outdoor Registration Fees the last day in February
After the last day in February, a late registration fee is applied ($50 per player) and a player is place on a waitlist, pending space on a team.

*Note: For players wanting to play in the Sunday U7 program, you will automatically be registered in the U7 Mon/Wed program and will be required to pay $120.00 at the time of registration. In the comment section of the registration, please ADD A COMMENT that your child would like to play on Sundays. Your registration will be switched over and you will receive a refund for the fee differential.
If you require financial support to participate in the program, contact groups such as KidSport (www.kidsportcanada.ca/alberta/edmonton/) or Jumpstart (http://jumpstart.canadiantire.ca/en.html). The application process can take 6-8 weeks and funding will need to be approved by February 28. You are able to start this process before registration. The player is responsible for any remaining registration fee balance and will need to provide this difference in order for the registration to be complete. If you apply to one of these organizations, please add a comment in your on-line registration indicating which group you are requesting assistance from and also provide a copy of the confirmation from the organization that you have submitted an application.
How To Register
Registration has 2 steps and both steps need to be completed in order for your child to be placed on a team.
Step 1 – On-line registration
If this is your first time registering in the program, you will need a household account to register your child(ren). This can be done at www.emsasoccerportal.com and can be created before registration opens. Please provide an email address that you check regularly as this is the primary method of us to contact you with changes to the program such as game time or field locations.
If you have created an account previously, you won’t need to create a new one and you can use the account you have set up. If you have forgotten your password, click on “Forgot your password?” to reset it.
If there are changes or updates to your account (such as mailing address or email address) since you last registered, please contact the Soccer Administrator email@example.com before registering so we can update the system.
You must register and pay under the community where you live. Please select Heritage Point as your community in the dropdown menu (the system may not default to this option).
When registering, enter as much information as possible including friend and coach requests, community transfers and age bumps/program transfers. While we cannot guarantee that every request can be accommodated but all requests are reviewed and we try our best to do so.
If your child is trying out for SWEMSA Competitive Club program, you must indicate this in your on-line registration form. If you would like to reserve a community team spot for them (in case they don’t make the competitive team), please mark both boxes in the registration form when selecting the age group/program. A community team spot will only be held until we receive the tryout results.
If your child is trying out for a Competitive Club other than SWEMSA’s Competitive Club (such as Scottish, United, Warriors, Raiders etc.), you will need to indicate this in the Comment Section of your on-line registration.
Registration for 2020 outdoor soccer season occurs during the month of February.
After completing your on-line registration and you need to make a change, please contact the Soccer Administrator (firstname.lastname@example.org) as you won’t be able to make the change to your registration yourself.
Step 2 – In-person registration session
YOU MUST ATTEND ONE OF THE IN-PERSON SESSIONS IN ORDER TO COMPLETE YOUR REGISTRATION.
Registration dates for all ages (U5-U19) are:
Tuesday Feb. 11 6:00-9:00 pm (hourly draws for FREE registration fee to those who submit completed registrations)
Saturday Feb. 22 9:30 am-1:30 pm

Please reserve approximately 30 min to submit and complete your registration. The process can be quick and smooth if you have the following documents with you:
- Printed copy of the on-line registration summary (from the on-line system). NOT the email copy from your account. See instructions below on how to re-print from the on-line system.
- Printed copy of your proof of payment if you paid on-line or
- Separate registration fee cheque for each child’s registration fee dated for the last day in February.
- Volunteer deposit cheque for $200 post-dated for Septebmer 30 made payable to Heritage Point Community League (one cheque per household).
- Proof of child(ren)’s birth date: Alberta health care card, birth certificate or passport.
- Proof of residency: driver’s license, utility bill or property tax assessment that shows the same name and address as the registration form.
- Heritage Point Community League membership card (current year).
NOTE: NO CASH OR BANK DRAFTS WILL BE ACCEPTED FOR FEES OR DEPOSITS
Those who are fully paid, supplied and submitted all the required documents and deposit(s) at an in-person registration session are considered complete registrants. On-time registration ends at 4 pm on the last day in February. Any registration information received after 4 pm on the last day in February is subject to a late fee and your child will be placed on a wait-list and will be considered for team placement if space is available.
Re-print instructions: Print the player registration summary from the on-line system just before coming to the in-person registration session. To do so, log in to your household account (www.emsasoccerportal.com). Click on Register a Player which will bring up all the members of your account. Click on View Registration Details next to your child(ren) and click Print this Page (upper right side).
Any registration after the last day in February at 4 pm is subject to a late fee. Contact the Soccer Administrator (email@example.com) for details on how to complete your registration.
Competitive Club Registration Information

If your child is trying out for SWEMSA’s Competitive Club program, you must indicate this in your on-line registration form. If you would like to reserve a community team spot for them (in case they don’t make the competitive team), please mark both boxes in the registration form when selecting the age group/program. A community team spot will only be held until we receive the tryout results. The player’s registration needs to be submitted with the required documents, payment and deposits to the community registration session.
If your child is only interested in playing SWEMSA’s Competitive Club program, you need to fill out the on-line registration but you will not need to attend a community registration session. Take your registration and payment directly to the SW Sting registration sessions.
Players who are selected for SWEMSA’s Competitive Club will have their registration fees transferred to SWEMSA less a $ 10 HPCL administration fee and the player is responsible for paying any fee differential to SWEMSA’s Competitive Club.
If your child is trying out for a Competitive Club other than SWEMSA’s Competitive Club (Scottish, United, Warriors, Raiders etc.), you will need to indicate in the comment section in your on-line registration. Heritage Point only transfers fees to SWEMSA’s Competitive Club. We do not transfer fees to any other Competitive Club program. Program with withdrawal/refund policies apply.
