We´ve got a Big Bin event happening on the fifth of June, which is a Saturday, at Johnny Bright School.
Much like last year, due to current social distancing restrictions around COVID-19 we will be operating a little differently. All Big Bin drops will be done via strict, scheduled times assigned by Heritage Point Community League prior to the start of the event and emailed out. Non-registrants will be turned away. Sign up is via our Google Form attached below.
Participants will be expected to unload their refuse on their own (bring assistance from the same household if need be), maintain social distancing with all volunteers on site, and stay home if not feeling well for the safety of all. Volunteers at the event are all HPCL board members donating their time and energy to serve the community in this event and their safety and feeling of safety is paramount. Anyone not adhering to these safety measures will not be welcome to attend.
All participants will also be asked for a cash donation to the Little Warriors (minimum donation amount is $10) and will be collected upon arrival. We’ll also be collecting returnables in support of Johnny Bright School. Both the Bissell Centre and FIND Edmonton will also be in attendance to accept gently used smaller and larger items, respectively.
We will be accepting all trash and recycling EXCEPT dirt, concrete, shingles, and paint/chemicals.
These items can be dropped off at a City of Edmonton Eco Station. Refer to the City of Edmonton website for details on how to properly dispose of your waste.
