Board Update Message 17th of June 2021
Summer has arrived at last! Before we break for the July and August months, I would just like to provide the community with some updates regarding the composition of the Heritage Point Community Leagues board of directors – YOUR Board – and give a preview of our plans for the summer and the fall.
In my role as your Board’s Vice-president, I will be filling in as HPCL’s Acting President until at least October 2021. Jon Morgan has taken a temporary leave of absence from his President duties to pursue a personal project and has our full support in taking time away to pursue that. His passion, work ethic and dedication to the HPCL board will be missed. I’m honoured to have Jon’s and our Board Directors’ trust to fill in until Jon returns.
An end in sight for the pandemic is welcome, however it didn’t come with enough time to plan a Canada Day celebration as has been done to great success in past years. Please keep an eye open to www.heritagepointcl.ca for a possible fun outdoor activity in late July or early August. I’m also hopeful that we will be able to resume normal programming with Community League Day celebrations in the fall.

I want to thank our volunteer board directors, our wonderful coordinators who make things happen and our dedicated volunteers in all their unique roles. I’m honoured to know you and work with you to make the Community League Movement a reality in Rutherford and MacEwan. Hope to see you in person soon!
